Download MineARCs official submission to the Royal Bushfire Commission
Over the weeks and months since the Victorian Bushfires, MineARC Systems has been preparing its official submission to the Royal Commission set up to determine the causes and attributing factors of the devastation, and to ensure that a similar tragedy does not occur in future.
MineARC's submission is available for public viewing here.
Our submission centres on the need for properly tested and regulated places of safe refuge (fire-shelters) as the only reasonably certain measure of saving lives in such an emergency. The report calls for governing authorities to firstly establish and enforce strict building codes and standards associated with fire shelters, before looking at ways to make the required technology available to all within the community - either via grants/subsidies for private dwellings or the provision of fully funded community structures. MineARC introduces its FireARC refuge chamber model to the Commission.
MineARC's submission report contains technical data from over 15 years independent testing and research as the world's leading manufacturer of safe refuge solutions to the underground mining and tunneling industries.
