MineARC was recently in Cobar, NSW, as an official sponsor of the 2011 NSW Mines Rescue Challenge. The biennial Challenge aims to promote a more cooperative environment between teams as they share mines rescue techniques and their own experience. The Challenge was a great success with eight teams staking part.

The eight teams were Peak (who hosted this year’s event), Olympic Dam, Barrick, North Parkes, Drayton, Endeavor, CSA and Tritton. MineARC was proud to present the trophy for Best Captain which went to Endeavor, while the top prize, the Espirit de Corps trophy, went to CSA.

MineARC would like to say a big thank you to all the organizers and congratulations all those taking part. We look forward to being able to show our support at the next Challenge in 2013.
