Hosted by the Chamber of Minerals and Energy, MineARC has been a proud sponsor of the West Australian Mines Rescue Competition since 2005, supporting the dedicated men and women that commit their time and energy to a fantastic cause and a fantastic competition. The competition takes place every year in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, with a gala dinner and awards ceremony at the Mining Hall of Fame Museum.

In May 2010 MineARC was extremely proud to be a sponsor of the innagural South Australian Mines Rescue Competition hosted by the South Australian Chamber of Mines & Energy. As the only State in Australia previously not to have its own rescue competition, the South Australian competition has been well overdue and was a tremendous success.
MineARC was pleased to increase its level of sponsorship at the 2011 South Australian Mines Rescue Competition, by becoming the event's Principal Sponsor. The 2011 comp was held in May at BHP's Olympic Dam mine.

MineARC was recently in Cobar, NSW, as an official sponsor of the 2011 NSW Mines Rescue Challenge. The biennial Challenge aims to promote a more cooperative environment between teams as they share mines rescue techniques and their own experience. The Challenge was a great success with eight teams staking part.

Perth 'CUT' (Central Underground Training) Mine is a strikingly realistic simulation underground mine underneath Perth's Central TAFE campus in the heart of the city. The CUT Mine was built to give TAFE's engineering students a taste of life underground before being placed in the real thing. MineARC was approached by Central TAFE to build a mock refuge chamber within the mine, converting a store room into a standard Hard Rock model - complete with all the internal scrubbing/cooling equipment and a realistic exterior. The CUT mine has been a overwhelming success and MineARC is very proud to have played a part in training WA's next generation of mine engineers.
