With over 15 years experience designing and manufacturing industrial safe-refuge for mining, tunnelling and oil and gas operations around the world, MineARC Systems recently spent the past year designing a suitable refuge solution for bush/forest fires for residential communities in both Australia and the United States. MineARC's standard industrial refuges are designed and tested to withstand extreme temperatures and blast pressures over prolonged periods of occupation. The transition into residential bushfire refuge technology was straightforward.

The 'FireARC' Refuge is still in its development stages. The designs require submitting to the relevant Australian building authorities in order to gain the necessary accreditation required before being released onto the market. MineARC is currently seeking this accreditation and will inform all stakeholders and interested parties of our progress in due course.
